    Submissions Are Open

    Join our Established and Distinguished Community of Authors

    All articles submitted to the St. Thomas Journal of Complex Litigation must include an abstract. This abstract must be on a separate page from the body of the article and may not be longer than 500 words.

    All text, including quotations and footnotes, should be prepared in double-spaced typescript according to latest edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation. The electronic version should be in Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, or Rich Text format (RTF). The author’s name should appear on the title page. Please provide your full address, including e-mail, in all correspondence.

    A manuscript that has been published or that is currently under consideration for publication elsewhere in either article or book form should not be submitted. The Journal will not consider submissions that duplicate other published works in either wording or substance.

    Print Submission Criteria

    STJCL has a preference for accepting manuscripts between 20,000 and 35,000 words (including footnotes) and looks for strong writing, well-reasoned analysis, and accurate footnote citations.

    • All text should be double spaced.
    • Manuscripts should be formatted in Microsoft Word version 6.0 or greater.
    • Footnotes should be single spaced and conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015).
